Doug McCartney practices in the areas of corporate and securities law and corporate and commercial law. He acts for both underwriters and issuers in respect of initial public offerings, secondary financing, mergers and acquisitions, and all dealings with regulators, including stock exchanges and securities commissions. In addition, he acts for vendors and purchasers in mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies and practices general commercial law.

Mr. McCartney received a Bachelor of Arts (History) from the University of Calgary in 1995 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1998. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 1999. Mr. McCartney articled and was an associate at a national law firm prior to joining Burstall Winger LLP as an associate in July, 2005. He became a partner in January, 2008.
