Lucas practices primarily in the area of securities law. He acts for both underwriters and issuers in respect of initial public offerings, secondary financings, mergers and acquisitions, and all dealings with regulators including stock exchanges and securities commissions.

Lucas received his Bachelor of Science (Cellular Biology) from the University of Calgary in 2003 and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 2006. He also completed the Canadian Securities Course (Honours) in 2004. Lucas joined Burstall Winger in 2007 after articling with a large Calgary-based national law firm.

Lucas is a member of the Securities Law and Business Law subsections of the Canadian Bar Association.
